Base Salary
$76k - $141k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop large-scale, cloud-native data pipelines and publishing systems processing billions of records.
- Build and maintain systems across content ingestion, storage, publishing, and delivery to downstream systems.
- Use Python, Snowflake, Java, and AWS services to implement scalable data solutions.
- Evaluate emerging data engineering techniques, lead proofs of concept, and contribute to data platform roadmaps.
- Ensure data quality, observability, testing, performance optimization, monitoring, governance, and security/compliance.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Labs, and other cross-functional stakeholders to turn data capabilities into application features and content workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Hands-on engineering experience with Python, data pipelines, and production-grade ETL/ELT systems.
- Experience delivering production software across requirements definition, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Required proficiency with AI-assisted development tools, including Cursor and/or Claude.
- Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, distributed data processing, data quality frameworks, and cloud cost and performance optimization.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including API development, testing, design patterns, and Git workflows.
- Preferred experience with data publishing workflows, content delivery systems, legal, tax, accounting, investigative, or other regulated-industry platforms.
- Preferred experience with Terraform and CloudFormation; Docker and Kubernetes are a bonus.
