Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction and architecture of custom software solutions and Node.js-based applications.
- Define end-to-end solution architectures for scalable, secure, and highly available backend systems.
- Lead, mentor, and guide development teams through design and delivery.
- Make technical and architectural decisions across multiple projects and teams.
- Design RESTful and GraphQL APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.
- Review application design, code quality, performance, security, and adherence to architectural standards.
- Establish development standards, architectural guidelines, and maintainability practices.
- Collaborate with product, UX, QA, DevOps, business stakeholders, and other teams.
- Provide solutions to complex technical problems and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of experience is required; the posting also states 11+ years of overall experience.
- Advanced embedded system engineering skills are listed as required.
- Proficiency in Node.js architecture and significant Node.js backend development experience.
- Strong experience designing RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Deep understanding of Node.js frameworks such as Express.js and NestJS.
- Experience with microservices architecture, event-driven systems, asynchronous programming, performance tuning, and scalability.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Knowledge of application security, authentication mechanisms, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
