Base Salary
$118k - $158k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain AWS cloud automation and developer tooling for provisioning, deployment, and day-two operations.
- Create and evolve reusable infrastructure-as-code modules and patterns.
- Improve reliability and operability through observability, alerting, and actionable signals.
- Participate in incident response, investigations, and root-cause analyses, and implement permanent platform improvements.
- Partner with application teams to improve platform capabilities, developer experience, documentation, and paved-road workflows.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 2 years of experience building on public cloud, preferably AWS.
- Production-quality programming experience in Python, Go, Java, TypeScript, or another general-purpose language.
- Fundamentals in networking and distributed systems, including VPC concepts, DNS, TLS, and service-to-service connectivity.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code and automation workflows, with Terraform preferred.
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and repeatable delivery pipelines.
- Working knowledge of Linux and container-based workloads.
- Ability to balance security, reliability, and delivery while communicating pragmatic tradeoffs.
- BS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent.
- AWS certification at the Associate level or above is preferred.
- Experience with Terraform Cloud, Terraform Enterprise, Jenkins, or Spinnaker is preferred.
Benefits
- Full-time position based in Santa Monica, California.
- Hiring range is $117,500 to $157,500 per year, with potential bonus and/or long-term incentive units.
