Responsibilities
- Shape the architecture and technical direction of low-latency electronic trading platforms.
- Translate trading and business requirements into reliable front-to-back solutions.
- Perform hands-on design reviews, prototyping, coding, and performance investigations.
- Provide technical guidance on Core Java, system design, concurrency, resilience, and performance.
- Identify and address architectural, scalability, performance, and operational risks in complex backend systems.
- Collaborate with business, architecture, QA, and DevOps stakeholders on technical decisions and delivery.
- Evaluate relevant technologies and AI-assisted engineering practices for use in the engineering environment.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on Core Java engineering expertise and experience building production-grade backend systems.
- Proven experience delivering complex distributed systems from architecture and design through production.
- Deep expertise in low-latency, high-throughput, and fault-tolerant architectures, including concurrency, JVM performance, networking, and profiling.
- Sound architectural judgment and practical problem-solving ability for complex technical challenges.
- Ability to influence technical direction and engineering decisions across teams without direct people-management responsibility.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English for globally distributed collaboration.
- Ability to use AI tools effectively to improve productivity, optimize processes, and solve business problems while handling data and AI-generated results responsibly.
