Base Salary
$110k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, program, test, and commission PLC and HMI software for custom automation systems.
- Integrate robots, motion systems, vision systems, sensors, and safety devices into automation solutions.
- Troubleshoot and support machine startups, commissioning, and customer acceptance testing.
- Develop control specifications and software documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver complete automation solutions.
- Lead controls engineering efforts on complex projects.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical direction.
- Support proposal development, project planning, and customer technical discussions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent experience in a related field.
- At least 7 years of professional hands-on experience in Software Controls Engineering.
- Experience programming industrial automation systems using PLCs, HMIs, and industrial software platforms.
- Proficiency with several PLC platforms, including Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Siemens, Beckhoff, B&R, or Codesys.
- Experience with HMI/SCADA platforms such as Ignition, FactoryTalk View, WinCC, or Maple Systems.
- Familiarity with industrial robotics, motion control, vision systems, and industrial networking.
- Familiarity with Python, C/C++, C#, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with Windows, Linux, and virtual machine environments such as VMware, Hyper-V, or VirtualBox.
- Experience commissioning and troubleshooting automated equipment.
- Ability to travel for work-related purposes, with reliable transportation required for multiple client sites.
- MSEE is preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; background checks are required.
