Responsibilities

  • Create automation test plans and obtain approval.
  • Design and document automation test strategies.
  • Create test plans, test scripts, test cases, and test data.
  • Record test results, open new tickets, and close existing tickets.
  • Attend design meetings with developers and architects to improve testability.
  • Triage field-reported issues by attempting to recreate them in a local test environment.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups to assess status and plan activities.
  • Provide testing input for user story creation.
  • Create and execute performance test scripts for spike and soak testing.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of overall experience in Test/QA roles.
  • Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with automation testing tools such as REST Assured and Appium.
  • Knowledge of Java or JavaScript.
  • Experience with BDD and Page Object Model frameworks.
  • Experience testing cloud-based web applications and REST web services.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle concepts, test methodologies, and their application.
  • Ability to write, execute, and document meaningful test cases.
  • Knowledge of white-box testing, equivalence class partitioning, pairwise testing, state transition testing, boundary value analysis, and decision table testing.
  • Experience with at least one test case management tool, such as TestRail, Zephyr, EggPlant, or TestLodge.
  • Experience in an Agile software development environment and understanding of change and release management.
  • Knowledge of code repositories such as Bitbucket or SVN.
  • Exposure to AI tools such as Cursor or GitHub Copilot.
  • Experience with products that include a hardware component.
  • Experience with cloud deployments on AWS.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with continuous integration using Jenkins.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to adapt to complex environments.
