Base Salary

Responsibilities

  • Design software application specifications, system architectures, and technical solutions.
  • Write code that follows coding standards and produces fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable applications.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, source control, build processes, testing, operations, and other software lifecycle activities.
  • Develop scalable, highly available, consumer-facing applications across digital channels.
  • Participate in scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, story creation, estimation, task management, and sprint execution.
  • Monitor progress against project schedules, communicate blockers, and report technical issues to lead developers and Scrum Masters.
  • Mentor associate and junior software engineers and help develop their technical and leadership skills.
  • Protect confidential customer information and comply with HIPAA, privacy, information security, legal, and company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience designing and analyzing algorithms, data structures, and design patterns for scalable, highly available systems.
  • At least 3 years of experience with a modern programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, or Informatica, plus experience with at least two of React, Angular v4+, NodeJS, NoSQL databases, HTML5, CSS, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services.
  • At least 3 years of experience with web services technologies such as REST, HTTPS, and JSON.
  • Preferred: 5 years of experience with general-purpose programming languages, system architecture and technical feasibility trade-offs, healthcare application development, translating designs and user stories into applications, and producing fault-tolerant, efficient, maintainable code.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices, agile Scrum methodology, coding standards, unit testing, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement large-scale consumer-facing applications, improve user experience, achieve stretch goals, and learn additional programming languages.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and helping develop their skills and leadership.

Benefits

  • Base pay range is $86,400 to $138,600, with geographic differentials potentially applying.
  • Office-based position with 0%–25% travel; occasional travel between work sites may be required.
  • The role includes an office work site and may involve lifting up to 10 pounds constantly and 10–25 pounds rarely.
