Responsibilities
- Design and test reference application processor firmware.
- Develop and debug low-level software on software models, development boards, and shipping products.
- Create software stacks for Arm reference platforms and develop associated test code.
- Build automation solutions to reduce manual testing and development work.
- Analyze industry specifications and roadmap requirements, break down tasks, and help implement project plans.
- Contribute to upstreaming and software maintenance.
- Perform firmware verification and validation on pre-silicon platforms.
Requirements
- Excellent C/C++ programming skills, including the ability to add significant functionality and diagnose complex defects.
- Demonstrated experience in software testing or software development.
- Strong understanding of application and low-level systems, system architecture, preferably Arm, operating system fundamentals, bootloaders, and device drivers.
- Proficiency with Linux or Windows and preferably driver development experience.
- Understanding of test methodologies, continuous integration, and test automation.
- Strong debugging, interpersonal, written communication, and spoken English skills.
- Preferred experience with Python, shell scripting, the Linux kernel, system software, device drivers, Android internals, profiling, instrumentation, optimization, and pre-silicon firmware validation.
- Familiarity with open-source contribution processes, Security Development Lifecycle practices, and software development lifecycle methods.
