Base Salary
$320k - $485k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate ingestion and processing pipelines, warehouses, data stores, schemas, and interfaces for Safeguards detection and review systems.
- Keep Safeguards systems operational and reduce the manual effort required to sustain them.
- Own data governance and integrity, including retention, access controls, privacy-preserving handling, lineage, and correctness guarantees.
- Design portable systems that operate across cloud providers and customer-managed or third-party environments.
- Partner with analysts, investigators, and researchers to build the internal tooling they rely on.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Production experience building and operating data pipelines or data stores.
- Ability to work across ingestion, storage, and consumption layers of the data stack.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical tradeoffs to non-specialists.
- Extensive software engineering experience, including significant experience with data-intensive systems, is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes integrity, spam, fraud, or abuse detection; trust and safety mechanisms for AI or machine learning systems; large-scale distributed data infrastructure; multiple cloud providers; data governance in regulated or high-sensitivity domains; and operational-team tooling.
Benefits
- Annual compensation is provided for the role, with a listed range of $320,000—$485,000 USD.
