Base Salary
$97k - $133k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and engineer autonomous and semi-autonomous mobile robotic systems that meet safety, quality, performance, reliability, and durability requirements.
- Specify, design, implement, and integrate software for robot localization, navigation, path planning, and other subsystems.
- Perform engineering analysis and use simulation tools such as MATLAB and Simulink to evaluate designs and algorithms.
- Create and support software for automated testing.
- Coordinate software and system designs with cross-functional contributors to integrate them into the overall architecture.
- Make decisions about algorithms, implementation strategies, and production system software.
- Improve software development practices and efficiency.
- Perform root cause analysis on reported field issues and report project status.
- Support product release, production, and service follow-up activities.
- Occasionally travel to test sites, customer locations, supplier or partner facilities, and manufacturing facilities.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer, Software, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Robotics Engineer, Aerospace Engineer, or in a similar role.
- Background in outdoor positioning systems, GNSS technology, and sensor fusion.
- Strong C++ skills.
- Experience using GNU/Linux for development, creating shell scripts, and performing basic system administration.
- Experience with version control tools such as SVN or Git in a structured, revision-controlled software environment.
- Ability to work in an R&D environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred experience with GNSS receivers, RTK, PPP, sensor fusion algorithms, Kalman filters, factor graph optimization, LiDAR odometry, SLAM, visual odometry, VSLAM, physical-system modeling, production-grade products, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, and CI/CD.
- Ability to manage the software release lifecycle.
