Responsibilities
- Architect and lead the planning, design, and development of new software solutions.
- Work with product owners and stakeholders to understand requirements and design software that meets product needs.
- Support merging code bases across multiple project streams and contribute to coding best practices.
- Solve complex technical problems with scalable, secure, maintainable solutions.
- Define coding standards and contribute to technical innovation.
- Mentor and support software development team members.
- Build or maintain cloud-native applications and troubleshoot distributed systems handling complex transactions.
- Comply with company policies and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Typically 8+ years of hands-on object-oriented programming experience using Java or Python and/or JavaScript UI frameworks.
- Experience with modern UI frameworks such as AngularJS or ReactJS.
- Experience with microservice architecture, end-to-end UI/API integration, and API protocols including REST, gRPC, and GraphQL.
- Experience designing scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions and drafting coding best practices.
- Knowledge of caching technologies and DBMS technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, including database schema design.
- Experience building large-scale platforms that process real-time complex transactions and troubleshooting distributed systems.
- Experience with core AWS services and building or maintaining cloud-native applications.
- Experience with serverless approaches such as AWS Lambda; Docker and Kubernetes experience is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
