Responsibilities
- Complete validation testing to confirm Space Protection and I&W software operates as expected and meets user expectations.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute requirements verification testing and enterprise System Test events.
- Identify, report, and assess software testing discrepancies and recommend workarounds or fixes.
- Participate in refining requirements, designs, and testing capabilities.
- Support SPO oversight of software development, implementation, deployment, and operation of ground processing systems.
- Represent SPO priorities during contractor PI planning, pre-planning, sprint close-out, and demonstration events.
- Assist with transition-to-operations activities and mission validation testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 9 or more years of experience, master’s degree and 7 or more years, or PhD and 5 or more years in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly.
- Experience developing, testing, or fielding space software systems, including space or ground components.
- Hands-on experience with functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with space mission operations, preferably at NRO.
- Preferred experience with space protection or space domain awareness systems, automated integration tests, test management, and defect tracking tools.
- Preferred familiarity with Agile development tools and practices, including Confluence, Jira, scrums, solution epics/features, and continuous integration/continuous deployment.
- Preferred familiarity with NRO SED requirements, RFC, and Lifecycle Readiness processes.
