Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software solutions for tax calculation and invoicing.
- Develop production-grade distributed systems with strong performance, cost efficiency, security, reliability, and scalability.
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including design, documentation, testing, operations, code reviews, and build processes.
- Lead design and architecture for new and existing systems.
- Partner with the team to inform business decisions through engineering excellence.
- Mentor engineers or serve as a technical lead.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- At least 5 years of experience leading system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Experience with object-oriented programming languages, Linux-based development environments, relational database systems, and large-scale distributed systems.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
