Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure Flowsource in Azure, AWS, or GCP environments.
- Configure authentication and authorization using GitHub SSO, Azure AD, AWS Cognito, or Keycloak.
- Architect and govern the Flowsource catalog component model, ownership taxonomy, namespaces, and lifecycle states.
- Develop and publish golden-path scaffolding templates that encode engineering standards, repository layouts, CI/CD wiring, and security gates.
- Develop custom Backstage plugins and TypeScript extensions for client-specific tooling.
- Manage platform upgrades, patching, monitoring, and control-plane health against agreed SLAs.
- Partner with client platform engineering teams to transition catalog governance to client ownership.
Requirements
- 8+ years of platform or DevOps engineering experience and 3+ years working on internal developer platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Backstage internals, entity models, software templates, custom plugins, scaffolder actions, and Flowsource.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
- Mandatory Terraform experience; Pulumi, CloudFormation, and Bicep are helpful.
- Multi-cloud IAM literacy, with deep experience in at least one of Azure AD, AWS IAM, or GCP IAM.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Backstage experience is strongly preferred.
