Base Salary
$93k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and own scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and modern web applications for OCI engineers.
- Develop React and TypeScript frontend experiences and end-to-end features across the software lifecycle.
- Improve code generation, global deployment coordination, debugging, and operation of highly available distributed systems.
- Drive complex features from design through delivery while managing competing priorities.
- Troubleshoot issues across the application stack with reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability in mind.
- Conduct code reviews, share technical knowledge, and support junior engineers.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders and explain technical decisions and tradeoffs.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience developing backend services and RESTful APIs using Java, Go, or C#.
- 3+ years of experience developing web applications using JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, and networking.
- Ability to independently own complex features from design through delivery and support junior engineers.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred: production experience with Spring Boot, Helidon, or Dropwizard.
- Preferred: experience with React or another modern JavaScript framework and modern JavaScript practices.
- Preferred: familiarity with Linux/Unix, functional programming, and deploying or operating applications on cloud platforms.
