Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Hex's core compute platform for code execution and data processing.
- Work on high-complexity projects across the backend and frontend.
- Enable data interoperability between Python and SQL using DuckDB.
- Develop intelligent caching systems to enhance data query speed.
- Implement a graph-based dependency framework for execution optimization.
- Identify performance bottlenecks in complex, multi-language systems.
- Create visualizations to help users understand code performance.
Requirements
- 6+ years of engineering experience with complex, data-driven systems.
- Expert-level understanding of Python, SQL, and data warehousing systems.
- Informed on industry trends in data processing and performant architectures.
- Passion for designing elegant abstractions to improve developer productivity.
- Desire to analyze and optimize performance at a granular level.
- Strong communication skills and experience in a remote-first team.
