Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate Watcher’s identity and access management, infrastructure and cloud security, endpoint management, and incident-response controls.
- Establish secure engineering practices and paved roads, including code-review security checklists, dependency scanning, secrets management, and container hardening.
- Lead security projects from ideation through implementation and rollout, and make security infrastructure build-versus-buy decisions.
- Evaluate vendors and their security posture before adoption.
- Own security questionnaires, product security whitepapers, customer penetration-test support, and technical customer communications during incidents.
- Collaborate with the Infrastructure & Security team to define Watcher’s security roadmap and priorities.
- Join customer and prospect calls, understand enterprise security needs, and feed buyer signals into product and threat-model prioritization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in security roles, rather than purely GRC or compliance work.
- Ability to read code, understand infrastructure, and evaluate technical controls.
- Direct experience with application security, cloud security, or product security, ideally owning or significantly contributing to the security posture of a product handling sensitive customer data.
- Experience working at a security vendor or security product company.
- An engineering mindset with the ability to build custom solutions, automate security work, and apply systems-level thinking.
- Comfort working in a small, fast-moving team across hands-on security work and strategic product thinking.
- Strong written communication skills for security questionnaires, whitepapers, and incident communications.
- Preferred: strong understanding of enterprise security buyer concerns, experience leading a security incident through resolution and customer communication, and experience with AI/ML or LLM security.
