Base Salary

$149k - $224k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Monitor customer-facing services and respond to Severity 0 and Severity 1 incidents.
  • Lead technical reviews and contribute to root cause analyses.
  • Automate detection and resolution of recurring production issues to reduce engineering and operations toil.
  • Contribute to compliance, resiliency, self-healing, destructive testing, and game day initiatives.
  • Partner with and mentor teammates and support team development.

Requirements

  • Experience in enterprise-scale internet service engineering or support.
  • Strong command-line knowledge of Unix variants, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Expertise with TCP/IP networking technologies and protocols.
  • Experience with incident management and understanding of ITIL service operations in a 24/7 environment.
  • Proficiency writing scripts in Python, Go, or similar languages and experience provisioning and operating AWS infrastructure.
  • Preferred experience with Chef or Puppet, Jenkins, Bamboo, Spinnaker, and Kubernetes-based applications and services.
  • Linux+, Red Hat, or AWS certifications are preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, either U.S.-born or naturalized, without dual citizenship, and agree to complete a U.S. federal Moderate Public Trust Minimum Background Investigation.
