Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and test systems for Security Engineers.
  • Build highly available infrastructure using AWS services.
  • Automate deployments, upgrades, and system changes.
  • Ensure systems can ingest petabytes of incoming data without performance degradation.
  • Partner with security engineers to understand and improve tool usage.
  • Participate in on-call operations and keep systems operating for partners across Amazon.
  • Apply software development, testing, reliability, scaling, and operational practices across the full software development life cycle.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
