Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain optimization and analytical software for supply chain planning applications.
- Implement mathematical models, optimization frameworks, simulation models, and decision-support methodologies.
- Translate business problems into scalable analytical and optimization solutions.
- Build data preparation, feature engineering, model training, and inference workflows for AI-powered planning capabilities.
- Apply machine learning to forecasting, prediction, classification, and recommendation problems.
- Develop reusable, maintainable, testable Python software and contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, testing, debugging, and performance improvement.
- Validate algorithms through experimentation, benchmarking, and statistical analysis.
- Evaluate emerging Operations Research, AI, and Machine Learning techniques and participate in proof-of-concepts and innovation initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Operations Research, mathematical optimization, linear and integer programming, network optimization, simulation, stochastic modeling, probability and statistics, decision science, or mathematical modeling.
- Strong Python programming skills with knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
- Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals, predictive analytics, statistical learning, model evaluation techniques, and data analysis.
- Experience with Scikit-Learn, Pandas, NumPy, and PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Knowledge of SQL, version control with Git, unit testing, debugging, software design principles, and software engineering practices.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Data Science.
- Preferred academic or internship experience in Operations Research, optimization, simulation, machine learning, or advanced analytics.
- Preferred experience building scientific or analytical software, handling large datasets or computationally intensive problems, or working with supply chain, logistics, inventory, manufacturing, cloud-native, or distributed-computing domains.
