Base Salary
$108k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create new features for legacy applications and build new applications as mission needs evolve.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions with product owners, business analysts, and other teams.
- Analyze and decompose complex software systems and design for scalability, testability, and performance.
- Develop backend components using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS for low-latency, high-throughput distributed systems.
- Write scripts to install and configure code on EC2 instances and use Git, Jenkins, and Rundeck.
- Create RESTful APIs and manipulate XML, JSON, and YAML data.
- Participate in Scrum planning, deliverable planning, Jira backlog grooming, and a rotating operations-and-maintenance support schedule.
- Provide after-hours on-call support approximately one week every three months.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, with additional experience accepted in lieu of the degree.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Amazon Web Services, low-latency high-throughput distributed systems, EC2 scripting, Git, Jenkins, Rundeck, RESTful APIs, Scrum, XML, JSON, and YAML.
- Preferred experience with CloudFormation, AWS certification, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, Elasticsearch, Kibana, tokenization, IAM, Zero Trust, prompt engineering, large language models, microservices, Katalon Studio, Selenium, and multi-region AWS resilience.
- Preferred understanding of AI concepts and experience building solutions that continue operating if an AWS region is unavailable.
