Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and optimize EDM and Workday configurations in live customer environments.
- Resolve complex configuration, integration, performance, and architectural issues and provide context for escalations.
- Maintain technical continuity from implementation through go-live and ongoing forward-deployed engagement.
- Enable customer administrators through knowledge transfer, configuration guides, integration documentation, and reusable templates.
- Identify adoption risks, track maturity milestones, and provide technical health summaries to Customer Success Managers.
- Share product insights, account histories, resolved issues, and reusable deployment patterns with Product and other Forward Deployed Engineers.
Requirements
- Required HCM Workday certification with demonstrable hands-on experience leading Workday deployments and configuring live Workday environments.
- Experience working directly in enterprise customer environments with client IT and HR operations teams.
- Experience managing complex stakeholder environments and independently resolving configuration and integration challenges.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage concurrent work across multiple accounts with structured prioritization.
- Awareness of how technical adoption affects customer retention and long-term platform value.
- Desirable experience with Kainos EDM configuration, document management, template design, workflow automation, and version management.
- Desirable experience in forward-deployed, embedded engineering, or technical account management roles in SaaS or enterprise software.
- Familiarity with Workday Recruiting, Learning, Talent, and Advanced Compensation modules is desirable.
- Exposure to customer success metrics, adoption health scoring, or maturity frameworks is desirable.
