Responsibilities
- Establish requirements, prioritize features, and complete moderately complex software design and development projects.
- Design, develop, maintain, validate, test, and document software solutions and functionality.
- Lead software and hardware system integration to support consistent performance and program reliability.
- Lead and participate in code reviews and address technical, quality, debugging, and performance issues.
- Review and optimize existing software or firmware designs and evaluate new technologies for integration.
- Develop custom tools or scripts to streamline analysis, debugging, and problem solving when needed.
- Provide technical recommendations, exercise judgment on implementation approaches, and work with minimal supervision.
- Mentor and guide junior exempt and non-exempt personnel.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders, external customers, and other organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Five or more years of relevant software engineering experience, or three or more years with an advanced degree.
- Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Knowledge of Go, Java, React, SQL, and containerization; Kubernetes is optional.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and software development frameworks.
- Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, system-level programming, software testing strategies, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and GitHub and with CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to adopt GenAI in the software development lifecycle and integrate new technologies into existing solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, mentoring, and prioritization skills.
- Experience working independently, with cross-functional teams, and with external customers or stakeholders.
