Responsibilities
- Design and ship end-to-end AI agents for customs compliance, document processing, exception management, and other logistics operations.
- Build AI-powered applications that make Flexport’s operations smarter, faster, and increasingly autonomous.
- Work directly with operators, domain experts, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify problems and deliver solutions.
- Move products rapidly from idea to production and use deployments to drive learning.
- Own features and solutions from problem definition through production deployment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Extensive experience building with large language models in production, side projects, or other substantial work.
- Fluency with LLM agent patterns, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, tool use, and evaluation.
- Full-stack development capability with TypeScript and Next.js.
- Strong product instincts and the ability to identify valuable problems to solve.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, entrepreneurial, cross-functional environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-alignment skills.
