Responsibilities

  • Build, configure, operate, and enhance the enterprise microsegmentation platform.
  • Analyse application communication and network traffic flows and implement least-privilege segmentation policies.
  • Integrate segmentation telemetry with SIEM platforms and other network security tools.
  • Align enterprise microsegmentation with telecommunications network segmentation and Zero Trust strategies.
  • Develop segmentation architecture models, identify control gaps, and contribute technical expertise to governance forums.
  • Maintain platform health, upgrades, policy enforcement, monitoring, and segmentation coverage.
  • Create operational documentation, standards, runbooks, and playbooks, and support incident response through policy analysis and containment.
  • Develop automation for flow mapping, policy creation, and validation.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for policy deployment and reusable security platform tooling.

Requirements

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or Cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in network security, workload security, or platform engineering with exposure to network segmentation.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise microsegmentation platforms including Illumio, Guardicore, Cisco Secure Workload, ColorTokens Xshield, or similar in large-scale production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of network security, segmentation, Zero Trust, workload isolation, least-privilege access, and enterprise networking fundamentals.
  • Experience analysing application and network traffic flows, troubleshooting policy issues, and creating technical documentation, standards, and runbooks.
  • Experience with SIEM integrations, telemetry pipelines, Python or Bash scripting, and CI/CD or configuration-as-code practices.
  • Exposure to Cisco TrustSec, Juniper, or Palo Alto network device segmentation technologies in telecommunications, critical infrastructure, or financial services environments.
  • Strong stakeholder collaboration, cross-functional working ability, ownership, and a risk-aware approach to security engineering.
