Responsibilities
- Serve as the ultimate escalation point for complex database and cloud infrastructure issues.
- Architect enterprise-grade database solutions for large-scale workloads.
- Lead hands-on support for various database technologies, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to large customers and strategic partners.
- Analyze customer architectures to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize configurations.
- Build detailed infrastructure diagrams and explain architectural decisions clearly.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify customer needs and define success plans.
- Conduct technical workshops and troubleshooting sessions for customers.
- Prepare and document database best practices for customer use.
- Advocate for customer feedback to inform new features and enhancements.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers through coaching and technical reviews.
- Design and implement support frameworks and operational best practices.
- Create authoritative technical documentation for internal and customer use.
- Lead critical incident responses for high-impact customer issues.
- Represent the Support organization in cross-functional initiatives.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in cloud infrastructure and database support.
- Expertise in supporting mission-critical workloads across various database technologies.
- Strong foundational knowledge of Linux, distributed systems, and networking.
- In-depth understanding of database architecture and performance tuning.
- Proven experience in a senior customer-facing technical role.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Demonstrated track record of developing effective technical solutions.
- 7+ years of experience in relevant technical roles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated with a proactive mindset.
- Strong automation mindset with proficiency in programming or scripting languages.
