Base Salary

$110k - $138k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the ultimate escalation point for complex database and cloud infrastructure issues.
  • Architect enterprise-grade database solutions for large-scale workloads.
  • Lead hands-on support for various database technologies, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to large customers and strategic partners.
  • Analyze customer architectures to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize configurations.
  • Build detailed infrastructure diagrams and explain architectural decisions clearly.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify customer needs and define success plans.
  • Conduct technical workshops and troubleshooting sessions for customers.
  • Prepare and document database best practices for customer use.
  • Advocate for customer feedback to inform new features and enhancements.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers through coaching and technical reviews.
  • Design and implement support frameworks and operational best practices.
  • Create authoritative technical documentation for internal and customer use.
  • Lead critical incident responses for high-impact customer issues.
  • Represent the Support organization in cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in cloud infrastructure and database support.
  • Expertise in supporting mission-critical workloads across various database technologies.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Linux, distributed systems, and networking.
  • In-depth understanding of database architecture and performance tuning.
  • Proven experience in a senior customer-facing technical role.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing effective technical solutions.
  • 7+ years of experience in relevant technical roles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated with a proactive mindset.
  • Strong automation mindset with proficiency in programming or scripting languages.
