Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot security engineering solutions for internal clients.
- Create secure, high-quality production code using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and AWS.
- Design and develop scalable cloud applications and improve application, data, and infrastructure architectures.
- Identify data patterns and hidden problems to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Resolve high-impact production issues and maintain smooth operation of business applications.
- Select and implement cost-effective security solutions, best practices, policies, and emerging technologies.
- Perform software maintenance, testing, third-party software integration, and monitoring-related activities.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in security engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
- Experience developing security engineering solutions and understanding the software development life cycle.
- Proficiency in Java or another programming language and experience deploying applications to public cloud environments such as AWS.
- Experience with Spring Framework components, including AOP, Spring Integration, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring JDBC, Hibernate ORM, and JPA.
- Experience with databases, including RDBMS or NoSQL systems.
- Experience with Jenkins, Selenium Grid, JUnit, Mockito, Maven, Git, and application development using RESTful web services.
- Preferred experience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Dynatrace, Apica, Splunk, and third-party software installation, configuration, and integration.
- Kubernetes certification or an associate-level AWS certification is preferred.
