Base Salary
$179k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify improvement opportunities, perform targeted refactoring, reduce technical debt, and improve system performance.
- Evaluate emerging tools and practices and influence long-term technology strategy.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master's degree, 7+ years coding with multiple listed languages, and 3+ years of database and cloud experience.
- Preferred: experience with front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, automated testing frameworks, Git-based version control, and troubleshooting cloud environments.
- Preferred: experience with open source frameworks, infrastructure as code, observability, AI-based coding tools, mentoring engineers, and leading cross-functional or large-scale engineering initiatives.
- Preferred: experience establishing coding standards and design patterns across teams.
