Site Reliability Engineer – Cloud Native Platform (OpenShift)

Responsibilities
- Improve the availability, stability, scalability, and reliability of managed OpenShift platforms.
- Define and monitor Service Level Objectives and error budgets, and conduct reliability reviews and platform health assessments.
- Automate platform management using GitOps, Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Kubernetes Operators, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop and manage observability solutions using Grafana, Loki, Tempo, OpenTelemetry, and the LGTM stack.
- Lead technically during complex incidents, perform root cause analyses, and automate solutions for recurring incidents.
- Manage OpenShift upgrades, Kubernetes lifecycle management, platform hardening, capacity management, and disaster recovery validation.
- Reduce operational risk and technical debt and contribute to continual service improvement.
- Collaborate with Operations, Platform Engineering, Security, and Architecture teams on platform security and compliance.
- Contribute to security solutions involving ACS, Policy as Code, image scanning, RBAC, and multi-tenancy.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer.
- Demonstrable experience with Kubernetes, preferably Red Hat OpenShift.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, GitOps, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Experience with observability platforms and monitoring complex platform environments.
- Knowledge of Linux, networking, and storage in Kubernetes environments.
- Hbo- or wo-level working and thinking ability, plus good command of Dutch and English.
- Experience with Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management, Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security, OpenShift Virtualization, Velero, VMware vSphere, Azure Local, or Bare Metal OpenShift is preferred.
