Responsibilities

  • Develop, configure, test, deploy, troubleshoot, and sustain secure web applications, APIs, data services, automation products, dashboards, and other digital capabilities.
  • Gather and document user, mission, business, functional, non-functional, regulatory, and Department of the Air Force requirements with stakeholders.
  • Design application architectures, user interfaces, workflows, system interfaces, data models, data flows, and technical documentation.
  • Build and maintain APIs, connectors, ETL processes, data pipelines, data structures, and integration services.
  • Configure and develop data pipelines, ontologies, dashboards, applications, repositories, and integrations in Envision or Palantir Foundry.
  • Maintain data dictionaries, metadata repositories, data definitions, integrity rules, and documentation for databases and data warehouses.
  • Profile and audit data, develop validation and monitoring rules, produce exception reports, and support corrective actions.
  • Create test strategies, test plans, automated test suites, regression tests, test reports, and deployment validation activities.
  • Prepare deployment plans, release schedules, implementation procedures, rollback processes, checklists, and configuration-management documentation.
  • Participate in Agile planning, backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, risk tracking, dependency management, and release coordination.
  • Coordinate enterprise data operations, resolve incidents, support root-cause analysis, and manage application and data issues.
  • Apply cybersecurity, access-control, encryption, auditing, privacy, data-sharing, and secure-coding requirements.
  • Support backup and recovery processes, stakeholder communications, customer briefings, operating procedures, user guidance, and technical reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, information systems, data science, mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 4 years of industry or government experience developing, integrating, deploying, and sustaining enterprise software or data solutions.
  • Object-oriented software development experience and proficiency in at least one major programming language such as Python, TypeScript, Java, C#, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with ETL processes, APIs, data pipelines, relational databases, data models, SQL queries, metadata, and data-quality controls.
  • Experience developing or supporting solutions in cloud-based or enterprise application environments.
  • Experience across requirements analysis, technical design, coding, testing, deployment, configuration management, troubleshooting, and production sustainment.
  • Knowledge of secure software development, application security, vulnerability remediation, access controls, and protection of sensitive information.
  • Experience working in Agile software teams and participating in requirements refinement, sprint planning, testing, release coordination, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Preferred qualifications include 7+ years of experience, Palantir Foundry, Foundry AIP, or Envision experience, higher-level programming languages, CI/CD and Git-based workflows, architecture and technical documentation, Jira or comparable work-tracking tools, application-security and Risk Management Framework experience, government or defense experience, technical leadership, and data governance knowledge.
