Base Salary
$180k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own major parts of the iOS codebase and contribute to architecture decisions.
- Build and optimize video-heavy features for recording, clipping, playback, and social feeds.
- Tackle ongoing performance work to improve app responsiveness and media capture.
- Collaborate with design, backend, and product teams to ensure quality and speed.
- Advocate for user experience, performance, and accessibility.
- Mentor junior engineers and maintain high code quality standards.
- Stay updated on iOS best practices and modernize the tech stack.
- Work on-site at the NYC office five days a week.
Requirements
- 5+ years of recent experience shipping iOS apps.
- Proficiency in Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI.
- Experience with Swift Concurrency and Combine.
- Hands-on experience with AVFoundation or video/audio on mobile.
- Background in complex real-time apps or social applications.
- Ownership mentality with a track record of driving projects end-to-end.
- Strong focus on code quality and user interface.
- Interest in product ownership and user engagement.
- Experience using analytics and user feedback to inform development.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and collaboration with backend teams.
- A passion for gaming.
