Responsibilities
- Analyze underwriting and business requirements and design automated underwriting rules.
- Develop, configure, maintain, and document Magnum rules using visual rule editors and supported scripting capabilities.
- Apply software engineering and automation principles to create scalable, reusable rule solutions.
- Design and execute unit, integration, regression, scenario, and user acceptance testing.
- Validate underwriting outcomes, analyze defects, and support release readiness and production validation.
- Analyze production outcomes and underwriting data to improve rule performance and platform quality.
- Support production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Act as a Magnum rule-development subject matter expert and provide technical guidance to global implementation teams.
- Collaborate with business analysts, underwriters, architects, product owners, and engineering teams.
- Contribute to testing standards, governance frameworks, reusable assets, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in business rule development and testing, ideally with automated underwriting systems or similar rule-based platforms.
- Proficiency with UiPath or other RPA or automation platforms and understanding of automation engineering principles.
- Working knowledge of Java or JavaScript; SQL knowledge is a strong advantage.
- Understanding of software development life cycle and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Experience with Magnum or similar automated underwriting platforms is preferred.
- Practical experience using AI and generative AI tools to improve software development, testing, documentation, or engineering productivity is preferred.
- Proficiency with JIRA and Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Experience spanning business analysis, rule development, testing, and production support is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across time zones and cultures.
