Base Salary
$115k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement containerization and Kubernetes capabilities with documented, globally scalable architecture and configurations.
- Develop cloud adoption and migration strategies with development teams, engineers, and cloud service providers.
- Lead architectural discussions supporting business requirements gathering, analysis, and design.
- Engineer highly scalable and available solutions using industry best practices.
- Collaborate with developers, systems operations, and vendors to resolve integration challenges.
- Recommend tools and methodologies and create proof-of-concept implementations.
- Decompose complex systems into manageable subsystems and components that can scale across teams.
- Maintain technical documentation and use version control systems such as Git.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience installing and managing Kubernetes; CKA certification is preferred.
- Experience with at least one service mesh platform, such as Istio or Consul.
- Experience managing Linux environments and supporting applications such as Redis and Elasticsearch.
- Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and alerting platforms such as Prometheus and Alertmanager.
- Experience with at least one of Python, Go, JavaScript, or Ruby.
- Experience with security hardening for compliance frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks.
- Experience designing and working with AWS or Azure at the enterprise level.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment processes and technologies.
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- AWS certifications, Azure certifications, and/or Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification are preferred.
