Responsibilities
- Own a scoped technical project from discovery through delivery with clear customer-facing impact.
- Build and iterate on product experiences in collaboration with engineers, product managers, and product designers.
- Write clean, maintainable code with emphasis on testing, edge cases, performance, quality, and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, shipping, and monitoring as a full team member.
- Work with a dedicated engineering mentor and contribute to Front’s engineering practices.
Requirements
- Full English proficiency is required because Front is an English-speaking company.
- Strong programming fundamentals and solid problem-solving skills are required.
- Experience building software in JavaScript or TypeScript is required.
- Familiarity with backend development is expected, with Node.js as a plus.
- Proficiency with AI coding and productivity tools is required while maintaining a high correctness bar.
- Product-mindedness, curiosity, attention to detail, and a growth mindset are expected.
- Candidates must be currently pursuing an engineering degree or equivalent in Computer Science in France for an end-of-studies internship.
