Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, stable, and scalable software components for mobile applications and systems.
  • Create high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that operate synchronously with appropriate systems.
  • Implement unit, UI, and automated testing strategies using XCTest and XCUITest.
  • Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, test creation, troubleshooting, and documentation, while validating outputs through review, testing, and secure coding practices.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
  • Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify problems and patterns and improve coding hygiene, application quality, and system architecture.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with native mobile application development and proficiency in Swift, including async/await and Combine.
  • Strong experience with UIKit, SwiftUI, Foundation, Core Data, and Combine, plus object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Expertise writing XCTest unit tests and XCUITest UI tests, with a commitment to test-driven development.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Bitrise, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions, and with Git source control.
  • Experience with modularization, dependency injection, and building reusable iOS SDKs or frameworks.
  • Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools and the ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, and resiliency and security expectations, with the ability to guide peers on safe usage.
  • Preferred: experience with design systems and white-labeling, accessibility standards including WCAG and Apple requirements, cloud-native platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and an active GitHub or Stack Overflow profile or published app portfolio.
