Base Salary
$158k - $239k/yr
Responsibilities
- Conduct security assessments of software, code, firmware, and hardware against AI-driven and adversarial attacks and implement fixes.
- Translate general AI security findings into Samsara-specific application, hardware, and embedded-firmware security improvements.
- Build, pressure-test, and drive adoption of AI-enabled security tooling and workflows.
- Partner with engineering, hardware, and senior leadership on threat modeling and AI-related security risks.
- Define and drive the organization’s strategy for adopting AI safely within security operations.
- Use AI and LLM tools for offensive validation, red teaming, defensive tooling, and testing of AI-enabled systems.
- Champion Samsara’s cultural principles across the organization.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in application security, vulnerability management, threat modeling, offensive security, or a closely related discipline, with demonstrated application-fix impact and broad organizational influence.
- Hands-on experience applying AI and LLM tools to real security workflows, including APIs, agents, or automation.
- Experience conducting technical security assessments across software and hardware or firmware environments.
- Experience creating secure-code solutions with engineers using languages such as GoLang.
- Experience developing AI and agentic solutions using GitHub and AWS.
- Preferred experience with prompt injection, jailbreaks, model or agent abuse, agentic AI security controls, RAG systems, LLM-integrated platforms, organization-wide security strategy, and executive-level technical presentations.
- Relevant certifications such as OSCP, GIAC, CISSP, or AWS certifications are preferred.
