Software Engineer - Defense Tooling

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain score features for defense-tooling products with robust and scalable performance.
- Collaborate with U.S.-based product and engineering teams on shared roadmaps as the Korea-based extension of global product teams.
- Contribute to system-level design and architecture focused on scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Mentor and lead junior engineers while supporting their technical growth and team success.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD activities to maintain product-quality deliverables.
- Track advances in AI/ML, computer vision, and reinforcement learning to support product innovation.
- Meet with autonomy and defense customers and present technical solutions and project progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least five years of professional software engineering experience in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment.
- Experience delivering software in agile, high-frequency release cycles and working on complex multidisciplinary projects.
- Experience building simulation platforms, ML training infrastructure, or developer tooling, ideally for robotics, autonomy, or defense applications.
- Experience with reinforcement learning frameworks and/or simulation engines, and proficiency in Python, C++, or similar programming languages.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for collaboration with the U.S. team and documentation.
- Strong meeting and presentation skills for communicating technical concepts to autonomy and defense customers.
- Preferred experience with ATR, drone swarming, path planning, aerospace control systems, aerial-domain software, unmanned autonomy stacks, or closed-network/air-gapped defense deployments.
