Base Salary

Responsibilities

  • Assess and improve security posture across applications, infrastructure, and development workflows.
  • Own identity and access management, including authentication, authorization, and machine-to-machine security processes.
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure authentication systems for internal tools and customer-facing experiences.
  • Build internal security tooling for secure development, operational visibility, and compliance workflows.
  • Embed SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning, secret management, and secure build/deploy practices into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Identify vulnerabilities, communicate risk and impact, and drive effective remediation with engineering teams.
  • Define scalable security standards, guardrails, and automated compliance solutions.
  • Provide security guidance during system design and architecture reviews and mentor engineering teams through influence.
  • Apply security best practices and frameworks, including OWASP, NIST, and CIS Controls.
  • Continuously improve identity architecture, security automation, and the organization’s overall security posture.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of experience as a Security Engineer or Software Engineer with a strong security focus.
  • Proven experience building and operating production-grade software, systems, or internal tooling.
  • Strong background in application security, infrastructure security, and secure CI/CD practices.
  • Hands-on experience with identity and access management, authentication systems, authorization frameworks, and machine-to-machine security patterns.
  • Experience applying OWASP, NIST, or CIS Controls in production environments.
  • Familiarity with AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, or GCP Security Command Center; SIEM/SOAR tools; and Infrastructure-as-Code security scanning using Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience supporting SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with modern backend systems, including C#, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience designing or migrating identity architecture at scale is preferred.
  • Experience building internal developer security tooling and working in a high-growth technology environment is preferred.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration, influence, communication, and security guidance skills.
