Base Salary
$153k - $204k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tooling to provision Kubernetes control planes on bare-metal infrastructure.
- Use Python, Golang, and Bash to build tooling and Kubernetes operators.
- Perform day-two lifecycle tasks, maintenance, debugging, and upgrades on running clusters.
- Identify infrastructure gaps and implement fault-tolerant architectures.
- Optimize reliability using the Grafana ecosystem.
- Design automated testing to validate build quality and stability.
- Participate in an on-call rotation every two months as the production point of contact.
Requirements
- Proven experience provisioning Kubernetes with kubeadm, Cluster API, Kubeception, Kubespray, or similar tools.
- Demonstrated ability to debug complex Kubernetes cluster issues and perform upgrades.
- Proficiency in Golang, Bash, and Python.
- Advanced Linux operating system troubleshooting skills.
- Extensive experience with Ansible.
- Advanced DevOps experience with tools such as GitLab CI and GitHub Actions.
- Experience collaborating effectively on shared codebases and documenting technical work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience participating in an on-call rotation supporting production services.
- Preferred qualifications include bare-metal OS provisioning, Kubernetes operator coding, advanced Linux networking, and AWX/Ansible Tower knowledge.
