Base Salary

$197k - $295k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end architecture for critical Snapdragon Mobile system features from concept through commercialization.
  • Define system-level architecture across CPU, NPU, DSP, memory, virtualization, security, kernel, and Android framework layers.
  • Develop AI-centered mobile features, recommend architecture enhancements, and drive cross-SoC and cross-product scalability.
  • Research requirements, build hands-on prototypes, participate in design reviews, and provide technical recommendations.
  • Set technical direction, resolve cross-team architecture issues, mentor senior architects, and grow system HW/SW expertise.
  • Coordinate with hardware, kernel, Android, CoreTech, subsystem software, product management, OEMs, Google Android, and external partners.
  • Drive feature requirement definition, review, acceptance, execution accountability, OEM integration, and commercial launch readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 8+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master's degree plus 7+ years or a PhD plus 6+ years.
  • At least 4 years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Extensive system-level software architecture experience for mobile, embedded, or large-scale platform software.
  • Deep expertise in Android OS, Linux kernel, and system software stacks.
  • Proven experience leading complex cross-IP and cross-organization system features and working with OEMs or external partners.
  • Strong technical communication skills, including executive-level architecture reviews, and demonstrated ability to lead senior technical talent while remaining hands-on.
  • Preferred qualifications include virtualization technologies, AI/ML system software, NPU/DSP integration, mobile SoC architecture, HW/SW co-design, heterogeneous or multi-processor frameworks, AI acceleration, performance analysis, and AI system optimization.
  • Preferred experience includes 10+ years in high-performance computing system engineering or software and 5+ years in AI system optimization, with a master's or PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of mobile platforms, Android frameworks, embedded implementations, computer vision, audio, generative AI, profiling tools, algorithm development, and software engineering practices.
