Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the SDET team.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and architectures.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, functional, performance, API, GUI, end-to-end, and mobile tests.
- Integrate testing into software development and release processes and oversee test execution.
- Analyze test results, logs, and failures to identify root causes and improve product quality.
- Mentor junior SDETs, conduct training, perform peer reviews, and support career development.
- Collaborate with developers, quality engineering teams, product managers, and other stakeholders on requirements, user stories, test plans, and issues.
- Maintain automation scripts and run test suites across release-cycle checkpoints.
- Participate in proofs of concept to keep automation frameworks and technologies current.
- Support deployments and collaborate with geographically distributed teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical or business field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience as a developer, automation engineer, or SDET.
- 8+ years of coding experience in Java with strong object-oriented programming and Core Java knowledge.
- 4+ years contributing to test-driven or behavior-driven development using tools such as Cucumber, JUnit, Mockito, or TestNG.
- 3+ years using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps and creating Java or Groovy test pipelines.
- 4+ years using Selenium or Cypress for GUI and end-to-end application testing.
- 4+ years using REST Assured or Postman for API automation.
- 4+ years working in highly automated CI/CD environments and with source control tools such as Bitbucket, GitHub, or GitLab.
- 2+ years troubleshooting with logs using tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Coralogix.
- 3+ years working in cloud environments, preferably Azure, with exposure to Azure services, Redis, virtual machines, and Kubernetes clusters.
- 3+ years testing native and web mobile applications using Appium on real devices and simulators through services such as Sauce Labs or BrowserStack.
- 4+ years working with geographically distributed teams in the US, Canada, and India.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, initiative, and mentoring skills.
- Preferred experience with AI/ML systems in testing, application performance metrics, Docker, Kubernetes test architectures, and scalable test grids.
