Responsibilities
- Build tools and features for data and ML platforms, including data processing, insights portals, data observability, data lineage, model hubs, and data visualization.
- Develop custom solutions from the ground up and customize open-source products for Apple’s needs.
- Design and develop scalable, performant microservices and APIs.
- Build innovative tools and frameworks that extend the functionality of third-party BI tools through APIs.
- Develop cloud-native applications and work with distributed computing technologies.
- Collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality software under tight deadlines and constraints.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on proficiency with Java, Python, or a similar programming language.
- Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience designing and developing scalable, performant microservices and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Preferred: strong problem-solving and communication skills; experience deploying cloud-native applications or products; experience with big data technologies and data platforms; familiarity with frontend frameworks; hands-on distributed computing experience; SQL and NoSQL data-store experience; and prior AI, machine learning, or data science experience.
