Base Salary

$132k - $252k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Work with Solution Architects to identify hardware, software, network, and staffing needs for prototype assemblies.
  • Develop prototype assemblies, conduct trade studies, reduce architectural risk, and support design handoff to integration teams.
  • Create and manage prototype development and material acquisition schedules, including tracking orders, receipts, and assembly readiness.
  • Lead prototype production, movement, installation, configuration, and operational checkout in laboratory environments.
  • Maintain prototype assemblies across setup, updates, sustainment, and the full product lifecycle.
  • Develop machine network configurations and perform operational checkout of setups and configurations.
  • Define requirements and staffing needs for multiple prototypes or machine setups.
  • Mentor and coach personnel while serving as a liaison across engineering teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Senior-level technical consulting experience with direct engagement across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience developing detailed full-stack platform solutions involving trade studies, cost, schedule, and technical considerations.
  • Experience collaborating across disciplines and integrated product teams to secure materials for laboratory machine setups.
  • Experience scheduling and securing fabrication and installation activities for laboratory machine setups.
  • Experience developing and implementing machine network configurations and conducting operational checkout.
  • Experience defining hardware and software requirements for multiple prototypes or machine setups.
  • Experience developing staffing requirements and maintaining prototype or machine setup environments across the product lifecycle.
  • People-leadership experience including mentoring, coaching, and liaison work across high-performing engineering teams.
  • Active and transferable Department of Defense Secret security clearance required before the start date.
  • U.S. citizenship required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
  • Typically requires a STEM degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience, an advanced related degree and at least 7 years of experience, or equivalent experience without a degree.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with SAFe Agile processes, process improvement, and CBC2 knowledge.

  • This is an onsite role in Richardson, Texas, with at least 75% onsite support at RTX labs and travel to customer CONUS and OCONUS sites of no more than 25% as required.
