Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers to solve complex problems and deliver elegant solutions for Clio customers.
- Build and improve performant, reliable, scalable web applications in a full-stack development environment.
- Participate in projects with multiple engineering teams across three countries.
- Review and provide feedback on peer code within and across engineering teams.
- Optimize databases and help resolve complex technical problems in large-scale systems.
- Mentor others and continuously improve software development practices and skills.
Requirements
- Experience building web applications at scale, specifically with Ruby on Rails.
- Experience with large-scale systems and database optimization.
- Demonstrated success mentoring others in software development and working with large-scale SaaS products.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work effectively with distributed teams and customers.
- A portfolio of successful projects and lessons learned from unsuccessful projects.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
- Curiosity, a focus on addressing root causes, and a demonstrated interest in using AI to improve software development.
- Experience with Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript is relevant; developers from these backgrounds can learn Ruby on the job.
