Base Salary
$157k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality software solutions and business-critical production applications.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and implement design constraints through software development.
- Use and help lead responsible adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and code review.
- Validate AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, security, resiliency, and appropriate data handling.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets and develop visualizations and reporting to improve applications and systems.
- Identify patterns and problems in data to improve coding practices and system architecture.
- Contribute to engineering communities of practice and independently deliver modules with minimal support.
Requirements
- Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Hands-on full-stack software engineering experience developing and deploying business-critical production applications.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, JPA, and SQL, with the ability to learn additional programming languages.
- Experience with React and other front-end technologies.
- Experience using and leading effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools, including validating and refining their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, input curation, performance measurement, model fine-tuning, resiliency, and security.
- Experience coaching engineers on safe and compliant adoption of AI-assisted development practices.
- Knowledge of cloud-based development and experience debugging and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle, application resiliency, security, and agile practices such as CI/CD.
- Preferred experience with Python for model development, experimentation, and LLM API integration.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Kubernetes, microservices design, implementation, and performance optimization.
