Base Salary
$118k - $177k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop AI/ML solutions integrating Qualcomm AI hardware, software, technologies, and ecosystem components for inference performance, power efficiency, and scalability.
- Design, implement, deploy, fine-tune, distill, benchmark, and optimize GenAI and LLM applications and models.
- Research, design, simulate, validate, and troubleshoot system-level software, AI hardware, architectures, algorithms, and AI solutions.
- Define and analyze system requirements, interfaces, functional behavior, performance, implementation strategies, and deployment approaches.
- Optimize inference across heterogeneous CPUs, GPUs, and specialized accelerators using caching, batching, parallelization, and workload optimization.
- Collaborate across teams to implement and test features, verify AI system accuracy, drive system-level triage, and present testing and debugging results.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related experience; or a master’s degree plus 1+ year; or a PhD in a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks including PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Deep understanding of ML development, deployment, applications, system performance profiling, and parallel computing.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s or PhD, GenAI architectures, fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, ML compiler optimization, distributed systems, hardware acceleration, MLOps, containerization, data center automation, and large-scale AI systems.
- Experience with version control, code review tools, open-source development, collaborative workflows, and large matrixed organizations is preferred.
