Base Salary
$118k - $177k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop AI/ML solutions integrating Qualcomm AI hardware, software, technologies, and ecosystem components for inference performance, power efficiency, and scalability.
- Design, implement, and deploy GenAI and LLM applications, including fine-tuning and model distillation techniques.
- Research, design, simulate, validate, and optimize system-level software, AI hardware, architectures, deep learning algorithms, and AI solutions.
- Benchmark AI models, perform functional analysis, define requirements and specifications, and develop workload deployment strategies.
- Optimize AI inference across CPUs, GPUs, and specialized accelerators using caching, batching, and parallelization strategies.
- Develop and analyze system-level designs covering requirements, interfaces, functional behavior, performance, and implementation.
- Collaborate across teams to implement and test features, verify AI system accuracy, and triage system-level issues to determine root causes.
- Drive innovative product and feature ideas while tracking advancements in AI/ML models, hardware, and software.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master's degree plus 1+ year or a PhD in a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks including PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Deep understanding of machine learning development, deployment, applications, system performance profiling, and parallel computing.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's or PhD, GenAI architectures, fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, ML compiler optimization, distributed systems, hardware acceleration, and large-scale AI architectures.
- Experience with version control and code review tools such as Git, Gerrit, GitHub, and GitLab is preferred.
- Familiarity with MLOps, GitOps, Docker, Kubernetes, ML lifecycle management, rack-level orchestration, data center automation, and large matrixed organizations is preferred.
