Responsibilities
- Own features end-to-end from product hypothesis through shipping and instrumentation.
- Work across frontend state, API contracts, real-time data flows, and underlying application systems.
- Build new product surfaces while strengthening and extending existing live systems.
- Coordinate with Machine Learning, AI Research, Data Engineering, and Platform teams.
- Prototype and iterate on loosely specified problems with real users.
- Maintain reliability, user experience, reproducibility, and provenance in scientific workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product or software engineering experience.
- Experience shipping real products in a fast-moving environment with independent ownership.
- Full-stack engineering experience with frontend as the primary surface and proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and React or similar technologies.
- Strong product sense and ability to balance technical and user-experience considerations.
- Proactive communication and cross-team dependency management skills.
- Interest in autonomous labs, scientific automation, and the needs of scientific users.
- Preferred: software experience in scientific, pharmaceutical, biotech, research, or clinical laboratory settings.
- Preferred: familiarity with instrument APIs, lab protocols, and scientific data-quality expectations.
- Preferred: experience building AI/ML-powered product features or working with ML teams.
- Preferred: experience with human-in-the-loop or human-machine interaction products.
