Responsibilities
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Develop applications for Windows and real-time operating systems.
- Troubleshoot real-time control systems and diagnose software, electrical, and mechanical issues.
- Support escalations involving field engineers and customers worldwide.
- Partner with Quality Assurance and Support teams to reproduce issues and improve regression test coverage.
- Author and review software specifications, design documents, and test plans.
- Investigate issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
- Contribute to system architecture, design reviews, and evaluation of new tools and technologies.
- Support customer installations, training, global travel, and on-site troubleshooting activities.
Requirements
- Strong software development skills in C++.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Systems, or a related field, or a recently completed master's degree in a related discipline.
- Graduating in Fall 2026 or having graduated within the past two years.
- 0–2 years of professional work experience; the degree-based pathway specifies 1+ years of software development experience.
- Preferred experience includes machine-control software, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, Windows real-time operating systems, multithreaded applications, real-time software, GUI development, device drivers, interrupt-driven software, data communications, networking, and software development tools.
- Ability to read, understand, and modify existing codebases, translate existing functionality into new solutions, and interpret software documentation.
