Base Salary
$69k - $142k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement full-stack features end-to-end with increasing independence, from development through code review, testing, and deployment.
- Write clean, maintainable, production-ready code and comprehensive unit and integration tests.
- Participate in code reviews, debug software issues, and identify potential edge cases.
- Deploy and troubleshoot applications on AWS or Azure and work with APIs, microservices, and event-driven or serverless solutions.
- Support junior engineers through pairing, knowledge sharing, code review, and onboarding assistance.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teammates to clarify requirements and communicate progress and blockers.
- Document technical work and contribute to code quality, performance, and process improvements.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience developing, testing, and deploying software is required.
- Proficiency with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript and the ability to write clean, testable code are required.
- Experience with Git, code reviews, Agile/Scrum teams, RESTful APIs, and web applications is required.
- Experience with React and FastAPI is expected or relevant to the role.
- Preferred qualifications include production experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Spring Boot or modern frameworks; Docker and Kubernetes; PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases; Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions; microservices; automated testing; and aerospace, defense, or regulated-industry experience.
- Candidates should be able to collaborate effectively and communicate technical concepts clearly.
