Base Salary
$236k - $339k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable distributed system solutions for the FDB platform.
- Analyze and solve fault-tolerance and high availability issues.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of projects from design to production rollout.
- Understand trade-offs between consistency, durability, and costs.
- Build next-generation transaction systems and caching engines.
- Evangelize best practices in database usage and architecture.
- Pinpoint problems and implement effective solutions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in designing and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems supporting stateful services.
- Knowledge of container orchestration and cluster management.
- Strong understanding of operating systems concepts.
- Proficiency in systems programming, particularly in Java.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Mesos, or OpenShift.
- Experience with scalable Key-Value stores is a plus.
- Track record of delivering complex projects in distributed systems.
- Intense curiosity and passion for system improvement.
- BS in Computer Science; Masters or PhD preferred.
